Vitasalus PureMaster V-Series: How It Works

Our factory-direct PureMaster™ V-300™, V-500™, and V-700™ systems are loaded with NSF® certified high grade media designed and developed to effectively filter sediment and particulate*, cysts*, copepods*, chlorine, chloramine/chloramines, vinyl chloride, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate, isobutylene, butyl acrylate, dioxin/dioxins, dioxane, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), synthetic organic compounds (SOCs), THMs (chlorine by-product), PAHs (chloramine by-product), PFC, PFOA, PFOS, PFAS, HAA, HAA5, pharmaceutical drug residues, glyphosate, atrazine, benzene, xylene, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, tastes, odors and hundreds of other potential contaminants and harmful chemicals from the water entering your home. The PureMaster V-300, V-500, and V-700 utilizes a specialized system design which facilitates an advanced water filtration process consisting of 3 stages generally described below.
   * With our 0.35 micron prefilter present.

The PureMaster V-Series (V-300, V-500 and V-700) Whole House Water Filtration Systems are loaded with the same NSF® certified high grade water filtration media, including PureCat™ small-granule Catalytic Virgin Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon and PureCarbon™ medium-granule Virgin Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon. Our system design also incorporates the latest advancements in filtration media technology and advanced media layering techniques to maximize water filtration and prevent water channeling. The PureMaster V-Series Whole House Water Filtration Systems are designed to be used for:

The PureMaster V-Series Whole House Water Filtrations Systems have the following performance capacities: the V-300300,000 gallons or 3–5 years; the V-500500,000 gallons or 5–7 years; and the V-700700,000 gallons or 7–10 years.

Stage 1 (Pre-Filtration)
The sediment prefilter uses a replaceable cartridge that mechanically filters copepods, cysts and sediment and/or particulate matter down to 0.35-microns. This important first stage filters the sediment or particulate that may be present in the water supply so that it doesn't clog the main filter and reduce water flow and/or filter life. Another key benefit to 0.35-micron prefiltration is that it removes the smaller matter and particles that would otherwise either clog the system or pass through and possibly be undesirably consumed.

Stage 2 (Macro Filtration)
Contains PureCarbon™ which is a high grade, medium-granule NSF® certified Virgin Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon for additional absorptive capacity of certain particulate, impurities and a wide range of contaminants.

Stage 3 (Micro Filtration)
Contains PureCat™ which is a high grade, small-granule NSF® certified Catalytic Virgin Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon for additional absorptive capacity of certain impurities and contaminants. PureCat has an expanded surface and porosity which provides extremely high reaction kinetics and absorptive capacity for a wide array of many other undesirable impurities and contaminants.

PureMaster vs. Our Competitors? Compared to most of our competitors, our systems contain 2 to 4 times more water filtration media, which means that our customers may enjoy even cleaner, better tasting and healthier water at every tap. Beware of companies that withhold a lot of details upfront.

Down-Flow vs. Up-Flow Design: The PureMaster V-Series' Down-Flow design does not require backwashing and is superior to the competitions' Up-Flow design because of our NSF® certified high grade media, tank-wide base screen, and advanced media-layering technique. The PureMaster is uniquely engineered with an advanced tank-wide base-screen technology that outperforms bottom-basket technology by leaps and bounds, and allows the water flowing down through the system to have even distribution and maximum contact time with our media bed layers without channeling. This superior capability is unmatched by the Up-Flow design offered by many of our competitors because of the limiting functionality of their older riser-tube and basket technology. Customers can truly buy with confidence knowing that they will enjoy insignificant water pressure-loss and maximum contaminant reduction from our PureMaster V-300, V-500, or V-700 water systems.

The Vitasalus/Equinox Products PureMaster™ V-Series™ (V-300™, V-500™, and V-700™) Premium Whole House Water Filtration System utilizes high grade NSF® certified water filtration media and components/parts/materials (per NSF/ANSI Standard 61) and tank (per NSF/ANSI Standard 44).
